SRF Monastics Present Series of Introductory
Talks/Meditation-Technique Classes
on the Teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda
The yoga meditation teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda are the subject of a free series of introductory talks and meditation-technique classes for the public being presented by monastics of Self-Realization Fellowship in cities throughout the U.S. in 2007.
Recently, Self-Realization Fellowship Temples in Pasadena and Fullerton, and SRF Centers in Sacramento, Atlanta, New York City, Seattle, and Los Gatos have held these events.
The programs begin with a monastic talk on a timely topic, such as Discover Inner Peace in a World of Change, followed by a guided meditation. Those attendees interested in enrolling in the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons will be able to receive instruction in meditation techniques as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda. A 30-minute film, Glimpses of a Life Divine, featuring rare archival footage of Paramahansa Yogananda and reminiscences from people who knew him, is shown at the events.
Upcoming Open Houses, introducing Sri Yogananda’s teachings, are scheduled for these locations:
- October 20, 2007: Los Gatos Center (www.losgatoscenter.org)
- November 10, 2007: New York City Center (www.newyorkcitycenter.org)
